Herbalife Q2 Earnings Surge 60% Buoyed By Strong Sales - Update
(RTTNews) - Wednesday after the bell, Herbalife Ltd. (HLF | charts | news | PowerRating) announced second quarter results , reporting earnings that rose from last year, attributable to double-digit net sales growth and lower interest expense.
For the second quarter, the company posted earnings of $36.3 million or $0.49 per share in the second quarter, compared to $22.8 million or $0.32 per share in the corresponding quarter of the prior year.
Excluding items, the company said its second quarter net income and earnings per share increased 28.6% and 24.5%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2005.
