Direct Selling Association and MLM Companies

Source: Npros.com

"What does it mean when you see the DSA Member on an MLM or Network Marketing company website?

First, it means the company has been in business at least a year. That might not seem like much, but with a failure rate of over 90%, and with many companies failing within that first year (and taking the reps money with them) membership in the DSA can offer a little bit of assurance that the company is at least going through the motions of maintaining a long term and ethical operation.

The DSA ( Direct Selling Organization ) applies a rigorous one-year application process to each company that wants to become a member.

All companies myst abide by the DSA's Code of Ethics in order to retain membership. Not every company that is a member of the DSA will succeed, and not all with prove ethical in the long run, but having membership in a group that applies these standards is certainly of benefit the reps considering joining a company."
