Mannatech CEO Quits Amid Lawsuit

Source: Fort Worth Star Telegram

"Sam Caster has resigned as chief executive of embattled multilevel marketer Mannatech Inc., the company announced Tuesday.

He will remain as chairman of the board.

Caster's resignation is the second major move within the Coppell-based company since it was charged with engaging in deceptive selling practices in a suit filed July 5 by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott.

Less than three weeks after the suit was filed, the company announced initiatives that it said would better regulate how its products -- dietary supplements known as glyconutrients -- are sold."
