"Green Mountain Energy, Texas’ only energy company that is solely devoted to green energy, announced that it will donate 48 solar panels to the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce’s new headquarters at Third Street and Heritage Square downtown.
The “solar array” gift will meet 6.5 percent of the 14,000-square-foot building’s annual energy needs without producing a speck of pollution.Chamber officials received the gift due to their efforts to emphasize environmentally responsible building techniques on their new headquarters.
Waco is in the position to brand itself as a green city, which would boost the city’s image and improve economic development opportunities.
