"Officially known as the Neways Maui Paradise Marathon, Neways' first-ever headline-sponsored athletic event took place in Maui, Hawaii, on January 11, with hundreds participating in the full and half marathons, including several independent Neways distributors from Japan and North America.
"Running along the ocean as the sun rose over the Pacific is something I will never forget," said Neways, Inc. President and COO Brian Slobodow, who took third place for his age group in the half-marathon. "A special thanks to all the great event volunteers who made it such a success. Given the event's success in its first year and Neways' commitment to continue as title sponsor, we expect a much larger group in 2010, and we're confident this marathon will develop into a prestigious international event."
