"Jusuru International, Inc. has just released a video on the current status of the international relief effort in response to the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti last January. The video includes footage taken during a recent trip by Jusuru executives to help distribute supplies that Jusuru had contributed to the relief effort. These included the entire existing inventory of Jusuru oxygenated water (a purified bottled water product), as well as sandals, clothing, basic toiletries, first aid kits and other emergency supplies. The video concludes with an appeal to other potential corporate donors to get involved because the ongoing relief effort desperately needs additional support.Jusuru’s product is Jusuru Life Blend™, a liquid nutritional supplement, that has lead to very early success in the company’s growth and objectives. Jusuru was formed as a socially responsible business, in which its corporate charter includes a commitment to giving a portion of its profits back to the community to support worthy causes. The unexpected tragedy moved Jusuru to take action although very early in its company launch.
Though Jusuru acted fast, its shipment to Haiti was delayed by logistical and bureaucratic problems, but when it finally arrived, Asma Ishaq, Jusuru’s President, and David Ciemny, its Vice President of Business Development, were on hand to help distribute the supplies. “Although it has been six months since the earthquake hit, it’s important for others to know that the situation is more dire now than ever before. We’re raising awareness not only about the earthquake’s effect on the people of Haiti, but also to ensure that their plight does not go forgotten,” said Asma Ishaq. The documentary, Jusuru hopes, will do just that.
Jusuru’s video was put together to serve as a platform for an appeal to the US and international business community to join Jusuru in contributing to the ongoing needs of the earthquake survivors. A secondary objective of the video is to serve as a report to Jusuru’s own network of independent representatives and customers, whose commitment is the source of what Jusuru hopes will be an ongoing series of contributions to different worthy causes, as called for in its corporate charter.
