Affinity Lifestyles Overview
Affinity Lifestyles no longer appears to be active as a direct sales company. Last update Tuesday, June 23, 2026
The parent company of the "Real Water" brand shut down and became defunct following a major FDA investigation and subsequent massive lawsuits. The alkaline water was found to be contaminated with hydrazine (a toxic chemical used in jet fuel), which caused acute liver failure in multiple consumers.
Affinity Lifestyles marketed municipal tap water processed with chemicals under the flagship brand name Real Water. It was advertised as a premium, alkalized functional beverage infused with "stable negative ions."
The court rulings against Affinity Lifestyles and its Real Water brand are among the most financially severe product liability verdicts in Nevada history.
The $5.23 Billion Verdict: A state court jury delivered a staggering $5.2 billion in punitive damages and $230 million in compensatory damages. The trial centered on several plaintiffs, including Hunter Brown, who suffered profound liver damage.
