Blessings Unlimited was a Christian gift and home-accessories direct-selling company established in 2007 by DaySpring Cards in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. DaySpring, which became part of Hallmark Cards in 1999, created the business to sell faith-based merchandise through independent consultants and home gatherings. The original assortment included inspirational home décor, tableware, wall art, jewelry, books and personal gifts carrying biblical verses and Christian messages. At launch, Blessings Unlimited employed seven people and operated as a separate direct-selling division within DaySpring.
Independent consultants conducted home parties known as Gatherings and accepted orders through personalized websites and direct customer contacts. The original enrollment package cost $159 and included approximately $400 in products and business materials. Consultants initially earned 25% of their gross personal sales. A 2013 company guide continued to list a 25% personal-sales commission and offered additional leadership compensation to Team Leaders, Senior Team Leaders and Directors based on the sales activity of consultants in their organizations.
In 2013, DaySpring renamed Blessings Unlimited as Mary & Martha. The rebranding retained the Christian home, gift and hospitality focus while introducing a broader identity based on the biblical story of Mary and Martha. Mary & Martha continued as a home-party and social-selling company, offering home décor, tableware, mugs, books, children's products, stationery, seasonal merchandise and gifts. The company later reported a consultant opportunity paying a standard 25% retail commission, with higher personal-sales commissions and multilevel leadership bonuses available at qualifying sales and rank levels.
Mary & Martha ended its consultant-based direct-sales and home-party model on January 26, 2024.
