Original Npros business profile for Demarle at Home, preserved below for archival purposes:
Demarle at Home was a Michigan-based kitchenware direct-selling company launched in the United States in 2003. Its history traces to French chemist Guy Demarle, who developed silicone-coated nonstick baking products for professional bakers during the 1960s. The company later introduced Silpat baking mats and FLEXIPAN flexible molds. Patrice Jacquelin acquired the French Demarle company in 1994 and began making its professional products available to home cooks through culinary workshops in 1995. Demarle at Home brought that party-plan concept to the United States, where Cindy Juncaj became president and CEO in 2006. A 2010 business profile described the U.S. operation as generating approximately $6 million in annual sales, while an industry guide listed about 2,800 consultants.
The company specialized in flexible silicone-and-fiberglass bakeware, nonstick baking mats, perforated baking sheets, cookware, knives, preparation tools, serving accessories, cookbooks and specialty food products. Its best-known products included FLEXIPAN molds and the bonMAT baking mat, which were adapted from equipment originally developed for professional pastry kitchens. The current bon COOK assortment includes FORTEEZ flexible bakeware, baking mats, preparation mats, cookware, kitchen tools and French Pantry oils, seasonings and other specialty ingredients.
Demarle at Home sold products through independent consultants who conducted in-home cooking demonstrations and accepted orders through personalized websites. Consultants historically earned at least 25% on personal sales. The compensation plan also included increasing personal discounts, group overrides based on the sales of sponsored consultants and Chef-level leadership bonuses. A business kit was advertised at $149.99 and included products and sales materials, with new consultants offered the opportunity to earn more than $1,500 in additional products during their first 100 days. The company also awarded merchandise and incentive trips.
Demarle at Home was rebranded as bon COOK in 2017. The company retained its consultant-based party-plan business for several years, using Cooking Boutiques and independent sales representatives to demonstrate and sell products. Cindy Juncaj continues to lead the business as CEO and founding partner. The company reports serving more than 100,000 customers and operates from West Bloomfield, Michigan.
Products include: FLEXIPAN molds and trays, SILPAT & ROUL'PAT nontisck sheets, FKT knives & pots and pans, FKT Tools and accessories, Cooking with a French Accent Recipes
