Healthy Pet Net was an earlier name and online sales identity associated with the company now known as Life's Abundance. Dennis and Carol Berardi founded the business in 1998 as Trilogy International, initially operating from their home in Palm City, Florida. Veterinarian Dr. Jane Bicks joined the company during its early development and helped formulate its pet nutrition products. The company officially adopted the Life's Abundance name in October 2010, moved into a purpose-built headquarters in Jupiter, Florida in 2012, and became 100% employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2013.

The company began with premium pet nutrition and expanded into dog and cat foods, treats, supplements, shampoos, grooming products, and other pet-care items.
