From the Megan's Pantry website: Megan's Pantry was founded in Sandia Park, New Mexico, in 2001. Prior to that time, Megan's family spent more than twenty-five years in the restaurant and specialty food business. As part of their business, they often made it possible for customers to taste products before they bought them. This sampling of their gourmet foods was greatly appreciated by their customers and always resulted in increased sales.As their specialty food business grew, many people approached them about selling their products. Some individuals had success at fairs or through representing the products to stores but the time and energy required was often a deterrent. As a result, Megan's Family decided to make their products available through Gatherings hosted in homes. The convenience of sampling gourmet food at home Gatherings has opened up opportunities for everyone.
