Poker Training Network, commonly known as PTN, was an Addison, Texas-based poker education and network marketing company founded in 2009 by Dennis Nadeau. The company combined online poker instruction with a business opportunity built around the slogan "Learn, Play and Earn." Its goal was to attract poker players who wanted to improve their skills while also giving independent affiliates an opportunity to market the training platform to others.
PTN offered web-based poker education for both beginning and experienced players. Its principal products included Poker-TEL, Poker-TEL Lite and Poker Edge. Members received access to instructional videos, three-dimensional poker simulations, analytical coaching software and online game rooms where they could practice what they had learned. The company emphasized technology-assisted instruction and performance reporting designed to identify weaknesses in a player's game.
The company marketed its memberships through independent affiliates using a multilevel compensation structure. Affiliates could earn personal sales commissions, team commissions and bonuses from membership sales generated through their organizations.
PTN offers two membership models:
1. PTN Poker-TEL, which enables monthly access poker class training and education, in addition to hundreds of Texas Hold 'Em lessons
2. PTN Poker Edge, is like a digital personal poker coach and gives access to software tools that will actually observe your skill level and begin coaching you after an assessment.
PTN also has a Facebook Poker Application that provides a method to enroll people via Facebook simply by inviting them to play, which will gives enrollment credit to whoever issued the invite. Poker Training Network also provides a proprietary online social networking poker site called "CallingAllPlayers.com", that can act as a prospecting tool and for lead generation to promote the PTN business.
