Pro Image International Overview
Pro Image International is a nutritional supplement and wellness company founded in 1995 by Anthony "Tony" Shaw. Shaw entered direct selling after working as a successful distributor and later as a corporate development executive in the cosmetics industry. The company operated for many years from Austin, Texas, selling nutritional products through retail customers, wholesale accounts, and independent sales representatives. In 2019, Shaw sold Pro Image International to longtime wholesale customer Wesley "Wes" Weaver, who moved the company's operations to Priest River, Idaho.
The company's best-known product is Fruta Vida, a nutritional beverage made with aÃÆ'Æ'Ã'Ã'§aÃÆ'Æ'Ã'Ã'Â, cupuaÃÆ'Æ'Ã'Ã'§u, yerba matÃÆ'Æ'Ã'Ã'©, and apple juice. Its broader product line includes Pro Vitamin Complete, Skinny Dream, Pro Vibe, Pro Mineral Complete, Pro Bio Complete, Pro Enzyme Complete, Relief Pro, Pro Liberator Complete, Red Raspberry Gold, herbal cleansing products, bee pollen, and CafÃÆ'Æ'Ã'Ã'© Avarle functional coffees containing mushroom extracts. The current online catalog lists approximately 45 products across nutritional beverages, vitamins, probiotics, digestive enzymes, energy products, herbal products, healthy coffees, and other wellness categories.
Pro Image International was involved in a trademark and business dispute concerning the Nzuri hair-supplement name and formula. The dispute included Texas state litigation and a 2012 Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceeding. Pro Image withdrew its trademark opposition in May 2013, and the proceeding was dismissed with prejudice. The dispute did not involve the legality of Pro Image's network marketing compensation plan.
