Scentsy Candles

Scentsy Candles are a brand of wick-less candles that utilize an electric light bulb-heated base instead of an open flame. The wax is placed inside the upper portion of the base, where a low-watt temperature is maintained in order to melt it slowly; consequently, resulting in a better spread of aroma.

Scentsy Candles were first conceived in 2003 by Colette Gunnell and Kara Egan, the company's two founders. The partners introduced their product in 2004 during a home show in Salt Lake City, Utah, where it impressed Orville Thompson, who then purchased the company and began to market it alongside his wife.

Various aromas and fragrances are available for use with Scentsy Candles, as well as a line of decorative bases; each housing a 15 to 25 watt bulb. Scentsy candles and related products are available at the company's web site, as well as through Scentsy Consultants.
