Scentsy gatherings may include a host or hostess, refreshments for prospective buyers and a kit or display set up to demonstrate the products as well as their range of color patterns and aromas. Some Scentsy Home Parties may have an entry fee, as well as a contest to help stimulate the event. If successful, the host of a Scentsy Home Party will be able to sell products, as well as recruit other individuals interested in becoming sales consultants; resulting in a commission.

Individuals hosting a Scentsy Home Party sometimes receive special discounts and benefits on the purchase of Scentsy products.
