New members may enroll online for $25 and incur a monthly membership fee of $9.95 for access to the website deal stream. That Free Thing members also receive periodic email alerts for “Free Stuff”. The member deal stream includes a list of “Hot Deals” for various merchant products and promotions.
Founder Seth Frazier previously launched FreebieForce.com in 2007. FreebieForce was a virtually identical business offer, and the company claimed over 100,000 active members before the member list was merged into LiveSmart 360. The FreebieForce.com domain now redirects to ThatFreeThing.com.
ThatFreeThing.com promises everything from free clothes to free travel and even an icon for “free home” on the front page of their website. The company is in pre-launch, and mention an iPhone and Android application being beta tested in the 12 minute video on their website.
That Free Thing refers to their members as “FreeLoaders”. Members also receive marketing tools and software that according to the company includes the TFT branded video email marketing system that can be used to promote any business.
The compensation plan is a 3 x 8 forced matrix with three generations of matching bonuses. Commissions are earned on new enrollments and monthly membership fees.
