Mr. Bowen has more than 20 years of experience in the film and television industry. His wide range of management experience in film, television, and audio production as well as his broad experience in advertising and marketing, underscore his vast knowledge of the industry.
During the late 1980’s and 1990’s, Mr. Bowen spent several years as an international television producer with THE U.S. INFORMATION AGENCY. In addition, he also headed up many successful communication companies, including BIG SHOT FILMS in Baltimore, MD; WASHINGTON MEDIA WORKS in Arlington, VA. LOS ANGELES FILM FACTORY in L.A. CA, EXTREME MEDIA in Dallas TX. In 1999, Mark formed his own production company, SOUTHWEST FILMS, in Los Angeles
During his employment at THE U.S. INFORMATION AGENCY, Mr. Bowen served as an International Television Producer. In this capacity, he produced more than 250 live international programs on the WORLDNET Television Network. Many of these broadcasts where multi-country, interactive satellite programs between Washington D.C. and many countries in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa featuring high level U.S. Government officials and celebrities. He also produced several programs from the White House with many officials under the Bush and Clinton administrations, including Vice President Gore, Secretary of State Warren Christopher, Lawrence Eagleburger, and Madeleine Albright. He was acknowledged by President Clinton for the unique television biography of President Nelson Mandela's life for President Clinton’s welcoming ceremony for Nelson Mandela’s first visit to the United States in Atlanta.
Mr. Bowen then transitioned to Los Angeles where he was a managing partner and producer with the LOS ANGELES FILM FACTORY. During this time Mr. Bowen produced and directed numerous commercial and music videos for artists such as Sugar Ray and Cypress Hill. During this time Mr. Bowen also produced several very successful television infomercials and educational programs.
Mr. Bowen then joined forces with Don Tolman in late 2002 to from Great American Wholefood Farmacy and was instrumental in the formation of the company. Today Mr. Bowen
is Senior VP of Corporate Developement and Communications.
