Ruthie Harper, M.D. is a Board Certified Internist who has spent many years developing her unique vision for helping people achieve health and wellness. She founded NuVANTE in 2003 with this vision in mind.
Dr. Harper has been a practicing physician since 1988 and founded her own medical practice - Nutritional Medicine Associates - in 1999. It has since become one of the most successful and innovative of its kind in the United States.
In her medical practice, Dr. Harper made unique discoveries in nutritional science and combined them with extensive skincare research to create a line of skincare products unlike anything else in the cosmeceutical industry.
As Dr. Harper used these products in her practice, patients began to achieve incredible results. Excited patients told friends and family about the products and a word-of-mouth phenomenon spread the product quickly and effectively into the marketplace. As demand for the product grew exponentially, Dr. Harper decided to create a mechanism to deliver quality skin care to every person.
Dr. Harper is a passionate, public advocate of the role of nutrition in creating healthy, happy living. She is a regular public speaker nationally on health, wellness, anti-aging, sports nutrition, and skincare. She also has made numerous medical appearances and is a research associate at the University of Texas at Austin where she is involved in ongoing nutritional research.
After completing medical school, Dr. Harper finished her residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans . She went on to a successful career as an emergency room physician at several hospitals, including Doctors' Hospital of Jefferson (New Orleans), Portland Adventist (Portland, Ore.), and Seton Hospital (Austin, Texas).
