Power Pops on Boston 7 News

If you're dieting, sweets are a big no-no. But what if you could satisfy your sweet tooth and still lose weight...All with the lick of a lollipop!

It sounds too good to be true…Suck on a lollipop and lose weight. But that's the claim behind Power-Pops. The lollipops's key ingredient is Hoodia, an herbal supplement originally used by tribes in Africa to suppress hunger.

"It breaks down fat cells and toxins. You're gonna see weight loss just drop right off," Power-Pop inventor, Michael Wenniger said.

And he says that's not all...it also gives you a boost of energy.

Hoodia is sold in all sorts of diet products from pills to powders. And like other dietary supplements it doesn't need FDA approval. The makers of the Power-Pop say what makes their product different is the way you take it.
