Pure Romance Acquires Slumber Parties
This acquisition is a key component of Pure Romance's long-term growth strategy and enables the company to expand its network of Consultants and customers across the United States and Australia. Cicchinelli adds, "Our long-term growth plan is more than just this acquisition. It is about strategic investments in growth. 2014 is going to be a big year for us. We just launched a new website, www.pureromance.com, to better reflect our brand image and enhance the consumer experience. Plus, we're investing more than $3 million in brand advertising and nearly $2 million in technology upgrades that will bring our Consultants innovative tools, like mobile apps, to better support their businesses."
Through its mission to empower women, Pure Romance has taken a lead role in what it calls the Pink Collar movement - women who are earning the income and providing for their families. In 2014, more than 4.8 million women will attend a Pure Romance party.
While Pure Romance is expanding its global network through this acquisition, the company still remains closely tied to its headquarters and home city of Cincinnati. The company has recently relocated its main offices to a new 30,000-square-foot location at the heart of downtown Cincinnati and is looking to add a number of jobs to support this fast growth track.
Over the past 5 years, Pure Romance has experienced significant growth and this acquisition will further expand the company's domestic footprint into key markets such as Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Houston, Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Wichita, New York, Atlanta, and Norfolk.
