Passion Parties in the Sun Sentinel

Women-only sex-toy shindigs are as much for the laughs as the sales

By Kathleen Kernicky South Florida Sun-Sentinel

It's Friday night, and in Carole Marquardt's living room, 10 women, stylishly dressed, sip red wine and hoot and howl as they pass around the product samples.

Think anatomically shaped, aromatic or edible. Names like Big Thriller. Tasty Tease. The Feathersnapper. OK, you'll have to use your imagination here.

Passion Parties are hot on the home-party circuit.

And this is no Tupperware party.

The Las Vegas-based company sells "sensual aids" and sex toys to women in the comfort and privacy of their new best friend's living room. The parties are strictly women only, 18 years and older.
